oooh its august already! which means my hols are going to end!! how how how.
anyway, i applied for the national library board's premium membership last week. did it in the spur of a moment. 21 bucks per yr would entitle me to borrow all the DVD-roms and audio stuff in the libraries. so i borrowed a couple of pc games and the DVD for 'An inconvenient truth', cos i always wanted to watch tt.
i have never been one to be hooked on pc games, but the game 'company of heroes' got me totally addicted. haha my bro says i m the only girl he knows who plays war games. hehe~~ i tink its pretty cool. apparently the game is pretty popular (though i had never heard of it before i picked it up), it won the best strategy game.
i was so addicted that was it not for my cravings for good food and shopping, i tink i could have just holed myself up in front of my laptop for one week. scary thought. now i understand why there are people who need to be treated for psychological illnesses after they spend too much time on the com.
anw, been going shopping with my mum. my cousin's wedding date is drawing near and she wanted to shop for a nice present for her. but i kept deviating her from her aim. haha in the end we end up shopping for ourselves. tampines metro is having a MAJOR sale. like 80% discount storewide. super exciting. i already bought 2 pairs of shoes. for like less then 20 bucks in total. hahaa!
met up with falungong over the weekend. we went to this ktv in katong shopping centre which was really cheap! we sang for more than 5 hours. i realised i m a 'chorus singer'. i know the chorus to most of the songs, but is almost always clueless when it comes to the other parts of the song. haha! except jay chou and jj's songss~=))
after singing we walked down katong road and found this nice hongkong cafe for dinner. they have such a huge variety of food that all of us took super long to decide on our orders. i love the 'yuanyang' there! aftr dinner we talked for almost 4 hours. haha~ the guys talked abt all their mischievous doings in sec sch. i realised the guys can be such big bullies. but its so hilarious hearing abt it again years later.
