friday, went with mama to the food fair at the Expo. haha my family are food fair fans.. we never fail to go for any of the food fairs held there. too bad bro cant go cos of his bball training. as for me, it was supposed to be my company's corporate day so i had the day off.

haha got so much nice food. we had satays, laksa, curry chicken, nonya cakes, and sharkfin! no to mention all the various food samples. i kept returning to the stall selling bak kwa for the samples. hahaa.. so auntie..

yesterday i finally decided to clean up my room. haha now its much much neater!

after my room-cleaning operation, went to shop ard at TM with mama and didi before meeting yinyue at pasir ris library. haha~~ been so long since i went to the library. like i nv set foot into it since the mugging period for A levels. hah i looked at the people mugging at the cafe in the lib and remembered myself doing the same thing abt more den 6 months ago. so glad it has all ended. =))

yinyue recommended me some books and i ended up borrowing 4 super duper thick books. cant see how i will be able to finish reading. i was browsing thru some of the books tt she was recommending me (mostly biology-related books)when it suddenly hit me tt i will be doing nothing related to science anymore in university. all my years of muggin for bio, chem, and physics.. ahhh..

we stayed at the library till the rain stopped before going over to my place to play bball. been so long since we both played! haha~~my first shot outside the paint was an airball! gosh. played some one on one too~ been awhile since i last sweated and panted so much. haa

we decided tt we wuld meet n play every 2 weeks. next time round, we are going to get the twins and yueshan to join us. =))

haha my lucky dance partner Limin and i have been planning a movie trip for ages. always din work out due to one reason or another. finally on tues this week, we met up to watch davinci code together!

went to billy bombers for lunch cos i had the 1 for 1 lunch voucher from the last billy bombers lunch with my colleagues. the mixed grill was really filling.

halfway thru the meal mum called me and told me tt the letter of acceptance from NUS just arrived in the mailbox, and i got into the Law and Econs double degree course. got mixed feelings upon hearing the news.. i mean, law and econs will nv be my first-choice course of study, but i noe i have to be realistic abt medicine..yupp so i guess it was good news, getting accepted into my second choice.

went to shop ard Heerans. been quite long since i went to town actually, pretty sua gu.. the first floor of heerans quite different. no more marche.

anw, to all those who hasnt read the book davinci code, or has read but forgotten(like me), pls go and read the book before going to watch the movie. cos i din enjoy the movie, as i had forgotten the plot and everything. haha.. limin is worse. she has nv read the book! =))

anw, yesterday after work, went with weeting and qiuting to Party world at Loyang point for some KTV fun!! haha i had to sing all the guy's part for the duets since there were no guys! sang for 4 hrs.. haha weiting even lost her voice from singing a string of zhang hui mei's trademark high-pitched songs in one go. haha so funny. =))

half day cos its corporate day today! buti din go for work anyway to catch game 2 of NBA eastern conference finals. pistons won.=(( i hope miami wins the series.. i support jason williams!

last wed knocked off an hr early to meet my mum and bro for buffet dinner at miramar hotel. it was supposed to be a make-up mother's day treat for my mum.. hah cos the steamboat treat on mother's day itself was for my popo..

i met yinyue and her family there! they were dere to celebrate her sister's birthday. haha so qiao. she recommended some nice dishes like soft shell crabs, chilli crabs, sauteed prawns, and of cos the shark's fin! i ate till i was damn bloated.. haha..



paid for the meal using my new POSB debit mastercard! haha first time i signed for a bill.. so cool.

while waiting for the bus home me and my brother counted 7 BMW/Merz convertibles which passed us. gosh that area is full of rich pple. got so many nice cars~~ =))

yest got news tt medicine results are out.. unfortunately i din manage to get in.. must say tt i am pretty disappointed.. not tt i has harboured any high hopes in the first place la.. knew my hopes are dashed once i walked out of THAT SECOND INTERVIEW.

my mum started on an encouraging pep talk. told me how she has nv tot tt a career as a doctor is suitable for me.. haha she says i am too fun-loving(lazy) and i will prob struggle in medicine anyway.
think i agree with her in partly but besides medicine, i really have not much interest in any other courses. i was always interested in studying psychology but i have heard so many pple say tt psychology degree is useless..

hai so i am really at a loss. i guess i will just wait and see where nus posts me to before making a decision ba.

the biggest mistake tt i made is tt i did not have a proper backup plan in case i din get into medicine. which brought me to my situation now. i kinda regret not pia-ing for some scholarship, just like qiuting had done.. my manager says i was overconfident. but i think it was being too naive and thinking tt i should "yi xin yi yi" go for medicine, coupled with laziness(i could not be bothered with applying for any scholarships which required me to write essays). even for my medicine inteview, i kept thinking tt if i had prepared more, read up more, wuld the doc be able to totally stump me with his questions on current knowledge?

thot abt it long and hard. no matter which course i end up in, i promised myself nv to live with any regrets from now on as a result of not being driven or focused enough. yupp. =))

anyways, went to billy bombers at century square with my colleagues today for lunch. this is one of the rare occasions tt we venture out from the CIAS building for lunch. usually, we are stuck with the stupid canteen in the building which serves food that is, well, comparable to Hwa Chong canteen's standards.

i had a mixed grill plus cookies and cream milkshake by myself!! haha first time i finished a milkshake at billy bombers by myself!! its super duper sinful la!~~
but crap, i dropped my temporary work pass on the taxi on the way to Century square. its gonna cost 50 bucks for a replacement!! siao. i m going to keep mum abt the pass and hope no one finds out abt it before i quit. ;) yup.

i had practically nothing to do at work the whole day. gotten to the stage where i had to spend extended periods in the toilet so as to waste some time. haha reminds me of the times in school.. i always took more than necessary trips to the toilet to escape lesson time.. =))

spent the whole day with uncle and his family, as well as popo. lunch was at fortunate restaurant at toa payoh. we had dim sum! yumms.

after lunch went shopping with them.. haha its so fun hanging out at the toys department at OG Bugis with my little cousins. i feel like a kid all over again. realised many of the toys now are actually pretty fun.

after shopping for toys they all came over to my house before we went for our steamboat dinner together. haha my little cousin amanda seemed to love my room. kept bouncing up and down on my bed. =))

took half day leave today to go out with yy! haha i m such a slack worker. honestly i am really thankful tt my manager is so nice. currently i am like on the "dun work when i feel like not working" mode. come June, when the world cup comes ard, i m going to go on a "only work when i feel like working" mode. hahaz..

anw, me and yy met at TM to watch mission impossible 3. cool movie! enjoyed it so much..it had me on the edge of my seat almost throughout the whole show. i din even have time to eat my kinder bueno which i bought frm NTUC b4 the movie. haha~

den we made our way to East Coast Park. had to work a long way to the rental shop.. but we had fun just chatting and toking.


there was this place for circuit wakeboarding at East Coast Park. so cool!! i wanna go and try too!

we were cycling at ard 7 plus in the evening and the park was relatively deserted. so it was really fun and relaxing, just cycling and toking abt everything under the sun (or moon rather). haha we cycled really far.. furthest i ever went from the rental shop actually. i guess due to the fact tt we were chatting non stop, neither of us felt tired until we stopped for a drink @ macs. haha my legs felt like jelly once i got off the bike.


at the jetty. my legs are so short compared to yy's. haha~

dinner was at the hawker centre in the park. yy was going to recommend the wanton mee at this wanton mee stall to me.. so we found a seat, sat down and she was going to go searching for the wanton mee stall. before going she still looked at the stall beside our seat and read out the stall name such that she can find our seat later. after awhile, she sat down next to me with a sheepish cum embarrassed look. guess what, the stall she was looking for was exactly the stall next to us.. the stall which she even read out the stall name! haha it was really dumb...

we ordered lotsa food.. including satay and my fav chicken wings! haha i was the one who went to order the chicken wings..so yy was asking how many i ordered. i counted 4 wings in the plate and started exclaiming tt the uncle cheated me of one chicken wing..until i realised i was eating one of the five wings. muahaha~~we laffed till peng. reminded us of our days in sec school.. stupid things like these always happen when the 2 of us get together. we tried consoling ourselves tt this is wat happened when u put 2 terribly smart pple together. erps.

reached home close to midnight with terribly sore knees and thighs. but it was a fun day! =))

its 31 days 14hrs and 16 mins to the start of the world cup. aaah my beloved team england is in trouble... both wayne rooney and michael owen are injured. some stupid metatarsal bone. the worse thing is that the england manager is selecting some 17 year old kid Theo Walcott who hasnt played a single first team game for Arsenal yet..

its been 4 months and 1 day (according to suan's records) since hc 130 went to Miss Clarity, so we were all really looking forward to today's outing to our all time fav hang-out.

met at bugis mrt before going, while we were approaching ms clarity, yisheng asked " wat if the place is closed?", half out of jest.. den we reached ms clarity. and it was really closed. haha tt big mouth of yisheng's. aaah we were so disappointed!! the last time we went to ms clarity it was also closed due to a birthday party being held there.

so we went to Fish and Co for lunch instead. haha.. the usual fooling ard n making a nuisance out of ourselves. we ordered the hot fudge and ice cream for dessert and insisted that they put it in a cup just to make it seem more like the mudooze at ms clarity. hahaa.

had wanted to buy myself an ipod nano with this month's pay.. but got persuaded by the promotor to buy this mp4 player instead. haha i have nv heard of the brand. its called LeMon. haha. tot the name is pretty cute. the player has all the functions of the nano plus it has radio and recording. haha.. shall start to burn more cds and dl more songs frm now on. =))

haha just felt like moving blog all of a sudden.. was quite impressed with the fact tt my brother actually noes how to do up blogs.. haha to be honest i noe nothing abt designing blogs. so asked him to do one for me.. erps at first he did one in shocking pink and green for me.. haha got him to change it but i think the new one doesnt look good as well.. haha hai.

everyone seems to be toking abt the general elections recently.. haha was quite curious about the rallies, so yest mum and i went down to SERANGOON STADIUM to watch the worker's party's rally. haha.. really too eng liao travel all the way down. but it was really an eye-opener. after getting stuck in the jam (due the pple travelling down to watch the rally) for thirty min, we arrived at the fully packed stadium. gosh i mean its like really FULLY PACKED. the stands were all packed with pple, plus the whole football field plus the running track were all swarming with pple.

haha~~quite cool and fun listening to the opposition party's candidates critisize the PAP. i kinda admire the WP head, Low Thia Khiang. tho i think the opp party is better at critisizing den actually coming up with policies and solutions.
