fa lun gong met up at holland v yesterday for dinner cum stayover! we were in full strength finally.. heh we had dinner at NYDC. started grilling qiuting and kaiwen for their secrets, since they were absent from the last outing.

after dinner we stoned ard as usual. haha we kept commenting tt our fav hobby is to 'pang huang' and we need peijia to 'gan yang' (gather sheep). by the time we decided to stop stoning and find our way back to NUS KE hall, it was already like 11pm and we had a hard time flagging down a cab. ended up taking bus instead.
chok, jm, qiuting and i stayed over at peijia's hall. first time i went to KE hall, and i thought sheares hall was very much nicer den KE. haha~ played monopoly, stoned in the KE lounge, walked out to fongseng for supper. my fav prata and teh peng! =)) saw yisheng's daddy still in his shop at ard 2 plus in the morning! we decided to take a cab back to KE from fongseng cos we were too lazy to walk back. met a uber crazy taxi driver! thank god he refused to take us cos there were 5 of us. he just sped off at top speed when jm barely just closed the door and made an initial-D-like U turn without even slowing down! siao
when we returned to the hall all of us just wanted to sleep. haha~ slept till late morning. peijia's poor roommate gotta shock when she returned and opened the door in the morning and saw a bunch of strangers sleeping all over the place. haha she thought she went to the wrong room!
we had fun helping to match-make jm with girls we know. chok kept showing him photos on friendster. haha~ brunch was at the cafe in PGP.. haha we kept reminiescing on the days in secondary sch and the funny things tt happened then. like how chok kept stealing my stationary for fun when he used to sit beside me in class. haha~ talked abt our teachers like eddie lim, miss sew, mdm sim etc. heh the funniest is always our lit teacher, miss yee. rem we used to do 'kallang wave' in class during her lessons. and she nv ever found out. and the times we got into trouble for doing stupid things in chem lab (like trying to write with iodine fumes in the test tube), and for breaking window panes in our classroom cos our class was always playing captain's ball in class. also talked abt the time when peijia, qiuting, meiwei and i got caught by nancy ng for loitering ard the dental bus and not going back to class after our visits to the dental nurse. haha i was surprised at the amount of things we could rem, given tt all these seem to have happened so long ago. so fun reliving the old days again!

havent had a fa lun gong outing since christmas eve the year before last year i tink. met up with peijia, meiwei, chok and jm yest at dhoby gaut. kw and qt couldnt join us. =(( haha we initially planned to go to mind cafe but since we havent met up for so long, we decided to just chill at starbucks and chat. haha~ like old ah peks and ah mahs. we had so much to talk abt tt we chatted from afternoon till dinner time. heh~ talked about everyone from our 3C/1A classes.
we went to esplanade to stone for quite awhile. hwa chong was having some choir perfomrance there tt i tink,saw some familiar faces. in the end we went off for dinner at lerkthai in marina square. kinda our 'lao di fang'. hah. this time the food seemed less spicy, though jm still sweated like crazy.
we chatted till we were almost the last pple in the restaurant to leave. haha~~ so fun listenin to peijia and her theories. -Shin- 1:51 PM

went to the food fair at singapore expo with mama and my bro yesterday. met bowwow and her bf too! heh
the whole expo hall was super crowded. food seems to be a large attraction for most singaporeans i guess. i kept getting stepped on =(( the 3 of us shared quite alot of food. ate katong laksa, city satay, taiwanese oyster mee sua, tom yam soup, coffee-flavoured snow ice with chocolate syrup (yummy!) and lotsa other snacks. haha~
we also went to support daddy's company's new product-anything and watever! haha think the product is attracting a fair amount of interest. quite fun cos it's a surprise in every bottle so u wun noe wat flavour u got until u drink it. but tink the whole fuss will die down quickly. we bought a can of the gassy anything and a can of the non-gassy watever. haha we got the lemon -flavoured one for anything and it sucked. the peach-flavoured watever was v nice though. haha~ i was hoping to get the cola-flavoured one. bleah.
oooh i played ball and skipped dinner yesterday! suddenly got new found determination to lose weight. haha though i noe it wun last. -Shin- 12:38 PM

both of us have been talking about going shopping in jb for ages. we finally went yesterday! yay.. we always have so much to talk about. i still remember our class teacher had to change our seats and seperate us when we were in sec school cos we kept talking and were making too much noise. haha~
we went to watch 28 weeks later at the Cathay cinema there. heh i was pretty curious abt the movie cos some pple gave it rather good comments while others thought tt it sucked. anw the movie tickets cost us only RM6 each, which works out to less than S$3! haha~ we bought tickets in the late afternoon and went shopping in the meantime.
yy bought coloured contact lenses and monthly lenses for a bargain. haha we also bought tops and slippers. bleah i realised i forgot to buy PS2 games for my brother only on the way back to singapore. haha the games there cost only S$2! my bro and i are hooked on the NBA live 07 game we bought the last time.
anw, thought 28 weeks later was quite nice leh. not much of a storyline la, practically just abt pple who have to keep running away from everything. the thing i enjoyed the most was actually the popcorn there. much nicer than popcorn here in singapore leh. yumms.
after shopping was our highlight of the day--seafood! we took a cab down to Taman food centre. in the cab!
we ordered black pepper crab, cereal prawns, la-la, and sambal kangkong. yummy yummy!
haha ordered too much le.. we gave up on the kang kong in the end. ate till i was super full. the food there was heavenly! super duper nice. plus the bill only worked out to ard 20 plus bucks sing dollars. =)) we both got takeaways in the end.. haha i bought cereal clayfish back for my family. my brother was more thrilled by the secret recipe cheesecakes i bought back though. heh.
took 168 back from woodlands. super fast. took me only 30 min to get from woodlands mrt to ikea tampines, where i can walk home from. i had to resist going in to buy the swedish meatballs. -Shin- 11:25 AM

think i caught the flu from my mum=(( helped my mum dye her hair today! haha it was pretty fun. i tink i did a good job. haha~
went to Chinatown with bowwow yesterday to check out stuff for our japan trip. the air tickets are soo expensive! going to cost ard 1000 bucks each. both of us taught this will make us exceed our budget. so we started looking at guided tour packages instead, which are much cheaper. so everything is still far from being finalised. haha~ gosh. i hope the japan trip materialises. been looking forward to it. heh was thinking if we eventually go on a tour package instead i might even be able to go on another trip to taiwan with the money saved. haha~ bowwow and i eventually succumbed to the lure of the GSS sale. so we started shopping! as usual. we can never resist shopping. the fact that it's now the GSS period just made us even more gung ho. haha~ funniest thing is that to us, shopping even takes priority over our need to empty our bursting bladders. we went to this building with a really big This Fashion outlet, just opposite pearl centre. both of us were in desperate need for a toilet so we went in search of one. to our distress, there was NO TOILET in the whole building! haha~ so we decided to ignore our bladders' increasing parasympathetic tone and go shop first. haha~~ in the fitting room we have both reached our limits. i was already in danger of peeing in the fitting room. haha so we dumped the clothes down first and chionged off to find the nearest toilet. which turned out to be not v near. haha we kept screaming 'help' on the way to find the toilet. pretty funny. i had to stop myself from laughing cos laughing causes my abdominal muscles to contract and this would increase my need to pee. erpss.
going for more shopping in JB tmr! haha though i wonder why i m going to JB to shop when the GSS is on. heh. but looking forward to the seafood treat tmr! -drools-
i guess i have already accepted tt my diet plan will never succeed and i will be fat forever. must say tt i m pretty impressed with yisheng though. haha he was telling me abt his 45-minutes cardio workouts. i tried doing it today too, on my exercise bike. i lasted for 10minutes and 39 secs before i gave up due to boredom and aching legs. -Shin- 12:02 AM

blogging now while waiting for my hair to dry. just came back from watching the FA cup final between Chelsea and Man U at the Kopitiam near my house. haha! was having dinner with my mum and bro there and decided the time was just right for me to stay on and catch the match. must say its a pretty fun experience, sitting with the uncles, some families and kids and going 'oohing and aahing' whenever anyone got close to scoring. haha! Chelsea eventually won 1-0 in extra time.. nothing to do with me actually, i m a total neutral for this match. just hope tt my liverpool wins the Champions league!
anw, today was zoo day. 71 had talked abt going to the zoo together for ages. so today was supposed to be the long awaited zoo day. however, got the feeling tt everyone will just pangseh. cos till late last night there was still like no real confirmation. haha~ i woke up at 8am this morning, thought abt the long journey to AMK mrt where we were meeting, and felt super tempted to just pangseh too. haha guilt prompted me to wake up.
i was surprised to be one of the earliest to reach! haha after yisheng and gilyn. we were even earlier den kheng wee! yay~~ first time leh. anw the 3 of us waited for anthon and khengwee, den took the 138 bus down to mandai zoo to meet damian.
havent been to the zoo for ages! cant even rem when was the last time i was there. haha~ all of us were quite excited.

din buy tickets with tram rides so tt we would walk the whole time. haha this is to ensure tt we burn enough fats for Ben and Jerry's ice cream at the end of the day! haha but it was really v tiring. i kept struggling. gilyn kept laffing at me though she was struggling too. we kept making hilarious comments abt everything and doing childish things. this seems to be the norm everytime i m with 71 pple. heh but its really fun~ when gilyn started singing: 'if you are happy and you know it wag your tail' , shinwei & damian: 'wag wag'. totally spontaneously and without thinking. erpps. we were embarrassed. other funny things of the day include trying to list examples of animals with 'hao ren lian (good pple face)' and 'huai ren lian (bad pple face)'; taking photo of some worker in the orang utan enclosure and commenting tt the species is called 'un-naked orang utan'; getting all excited over the sheep's overly-enlarged, erms, scrotum; and yisheng commenting tt the goat shitting looked like coffee beans. there was this caucasian couple near us laffing at his comment. haha~ spot the kangeroo
we realised tt all of us are really good students. hc-produced muggers. haha. cos when we saw the giraffes anthon commented tt he is reminded of the Darwin's theory in the bio notes. den when we were looking at the pond skaters we all were reminded of pri sch science. hahahaa~
we ended our trip with the highlight of the day: BEn and jerry's! we shared 6 flavours. =)) happy happy. tink its a special 71 outing. which other class goes to the zoo as class outing? haha we are zai. -Shin- 1:08 AM

went to johor with my mum and bro last sat. haha first time venturing into JB by taking public transport. we took the singapore-johor express bus from Queen's street. surprised tt the travelling time was so short!
anw, we went for some shopping at city square plaza at JB. some of the things there are really cheap! haha i replenished my stock of contact lenses there. bought my Acuvue Clear monthly lenses at a huge bargain. heh~ my brother went on a major shopping spree and bought shirts, a sweater and skater shoes. they got super nice skater shoes there at only RM 49! haha i would have bought a pair too if not for the fact that i hardly have the chance to wear shoes these days.
we were too lazy to venture out to the Taman Food centre tt yy recommended me to. so we stayed in the mall and had lunch at this stone grill restaurant serving real nice food at cheap prices! haha i had an enormous portion of salmon! haha. there is also a secret recipe shop there so i bought blueberry cheese cake and my fav chocolate banana cakes to bring back to singapore. haha the prices of the cakes there are almost half tt of singapore's. happy happy. =))
just finished the 3-day PDCP course today. haa though i only went for 2 days. din really mind the course la, thought the self assessment tests were pretty fun and my group also had some lively discussions abt cross gender interaction. hahaa=)) though i doubt the things they covered during this course is going to help at all in our future practice as doctors. heh -Shin- 8:50 PM

met up with yisheng, damian and yuenmei at holland v yesterday. we wanted to go and play board games at Settlers cafe. i met bowwow at clementi mrt first to take a bus down together. haha quite interesting listening to her talk abt her blossoming new love. so happy for her! i tink the guy looks like a hao ren. yeah so its good. =)) anw, we were so engrossed in talking tt we missed our stop. and we realised tt the next bus stop was too far away for us to walk back to the burger king where we were supposed to meet yisheng and damian. haha so we had to take a cab. bleahs. felt utterly stupid.
anw, to our disappointment, settlers cafe was totally packed and there were no seats. sian. so we went to the little bread shop in holland v for bread and drinks. realised tt there was nothing to do at all in holland v except eat. gosh. haha i was feeling quite cheated and sad cos i had to travel all the way from pasir ris to eat bread! haha~ den just suddenly got the crazy idea to go to har par villa. hahaa~ tink i can be crazy sometimes.
the others were all for the idea, esp damian who seemed quite excited. haha so off we went!
haha we visiting the 'gates of hell'. gosh it was really like hell. tink they were under budget or sth, so there was no air con and no ventilation inside. not to mention tt there were mosquitoes. haha got a couple of mosquito bites. bleahs. but we had fun reading from all the signs about the various punishments for diff sins committed by pple.
the weather was too hot to bear and we couldnt tahan the sweltering heat. haha so we left before we completed the tour of har par villa. haha..gosh. wun say it was a wasted trip though la. tink only good old 71 peeps will be crazy enough to do things like going to har par villa on a super hot afternoon.heh -Shin- 8:59 PM
checked my results online yesterday. so relieved to see my grades =)) i passed everything! though my string of Bs is hardly anything to be proud of, i m just glad tt i can finally enjoy the rest of my holidays without having to worry abt results. yay..
anyway mon met cuixi at marina square to watch spiderman 3. thought the movie was rather disappointing. but i like all the bad guys in this movie! haha~~ after movie we went to ministry of food for lunch. the jap desserts there all look so yummy! both of us shared a dessert and i had the chicken teriyaki bento set.

haha felt quite pig cos cuixi held on to her diet resolution and din have lunch while i pigged out. bleahs. haha~ after tt we went to shop ard. bought some stuff under sale! =)
woke up super early on tues. haha been ages since i last woke up at 6 am. reason was tt we were gg to hwa chong to crash morning assembly! haha! felt pretty weird as i put on my hc uniform. haha i was hoping tt i wun meet any neighbours on the way out of my house. can imagine how hard it wuld be to explain things. muahaha. i was the latest to reach, after yisheng, damian and suan. haha we look exactly the same as 2 years ago! haha~ the rest of them could blend in totally with the rest of the hwachongians.. haha but my dyed hair gave me away. haha
we just chionged into the central plaza. haha suan just led us to stand behind some random class. haha so it was the usual keblakan pusing, den national anthem and pledge. haha.. been so long since the last time i did this! haha during the morning announcements i found myself under attack by the teachers. hahah!! 3 teachers came up to me cos of my hair. one of whom was my council teacher mrs ang. haha she started complaining.. most of the teachers just dismissed us as some over enthusiastic alumni students with too much time on our hands i guess. haha. but there was one mean teacher who asked me to change out of the uni. bleahs. so sad lar. i left my uni on cos without wearing uni it wun be fun le. hehe. haha luckily we din see the teacher again for the rest of the day.
anw after flag raising we went for breakfast in the canteen. haha saw our math teacher mr tan wan sin having tea there! haha he claims to rem us but i doubt he ever knew us by names even after teaching us for 2 years. haha but he invited us to have tea with him. =)) haha the chicken rice stall uncle still remembers yisheng! haha so nan de. tink he ate too much chicken rice during his hc days le la.
after breakfast we went up to the staff room to find the teachers. talked to mrs chong, mr sam lee and mr augustine wong! our vp mrs chin came over to us when we were at the consultation area with mr lee, thinking tt we were working hard on schoolwork. haha she was quite surprised to learn tt we were old students in uniform! haha she still remembers tt i was a councillor! haha.
after tt we went to coronation plaza. 4 of us shared meatballs at cafe watever while waiting for mr sam lee and ger to come and join us for lunch. haha we finished the plate of meatballs in less den one min! pigs! after tt was lunch at prince. haha the auntie just assumed tt we were students. yay so we got the $6 meal! =)) where's yisheng when we were at prince

haha weeks of life just going out and eating and shopping has taken its toil on my pocket. i practically spent my allowance for the month within the first week. keep digging from my bank account savings. haha at this rate, i will go japan to eat grass.
ate quite alot of buffets too haha. though i console myself by saying tt i have been exercising, but i tink the amouunt i eat is way too much to work off. gosh ahh!! anw been bball-mad lately too. been going to play bball in the neighbourhood court with my bro. haha. always play with this usual gang of ah bengs. haha but i tink they are so funny. i gotta buy cigarettes for them cos they are underaged. hahaha.
been 3 months since the last hc130 outing! haha ys ger and i met up to support suan and her samba masala friends from SMU! they were busking at orchard road. haha in btw we went to kino for a while to let our sweat evaporate. tink the performance was really cool!
den we went for dinner at ding tai feng. for a span of a few minutes, hc130 was engaged in a serious conversation about marriage. ger and i were commenting tt we had grown up finally. haha. how wrong were we.
the rest of the time hc130 was back to our old childish ways. haha. laughed till my TMJ almost dislocated. i told them abt the TMJ and we were figuring out how to dislocate the TMJ on purpose. haha.
after dinner we walked to the hongkong cafe at cine for desserts.we had the mango ice and the girls kept laughing at ys and saying tt he doesnt have a brain cos he couldnt feel any brain freeze. den he started faking brain freezes with every mouthful. haha super funny. just sat there laffing our heads off. after desserts we started crazily ordering food. haha we shared 2 more toasts and one polo bun. haha~ now i noe why no matter how much i exercise, i dun seem to lose any weight.
