school's boring. bleah.
i am thankful for those little get-aways with bowwow once in awhile. haha. we only went for 3.5 days out of 5 days of school in the first week. haha we ponned on wed and met up to shop and lunch at miss clarity. heh!~ thurs we had one whole string of COFM lectures, so we left school at ard 10 plus to go to clementi k box for klunch! haha we returned just in time for our microbiology lab session at 2pm. muahaha~ major time maximization at work. =)) while we were at clementi there was this free health screening thingy there so we went for it. the test measures our body fat, visceral fat, bone mass, water composition, muscle mass etc. bowwow and i both have metabolic ages which are younger than our actual age! so i guess its good. but i really need to lose some weight. =((
we din pon anything the second week of sch (except FRS). haha~ pretty proud of myself. and i managed to keep awake in most of the lectures. =) heh. i had a 4hr break from my PBL lesson on wed, so went down to clementi to eat Botak Jones with my anat group pple and some others. wanted to eat botak jones for so long!! haa. cuixi and i shared the cajun chicken. seriously its not as nice as i thought it would be. just above average baz. but its the first time i dun mind eating chicken breast though.
i m determined to keep up with school work this yr! shall go off to read my notes. yay

first day of school today. met bowwow early at yusof ishak house to have the 2bucks breakfast set before going to med fac. we were commenting that the fact that sch's started feels v unreal. have gotten so used to the freedom and all the fun! nvm i shall look forward to the mid-term break 6 weeks later!
first day of sch was pretty boring. all the introductions. we ended up in the last row. haha~ i fell asleep in the second lecture and last lecture. woopps.
we actually planned to go for yumcha buffet with xiuzhen, muliang etc, but bowwow and i pangseh them last min cos we were both super fat from all the stuff we ate throughout the week.
so bowwow and i ended up going for body massage in chinatown instead. haha we rock. super funny. my first time going for a body massage. i thought massages were supposed to be shiok and comfortable, boy was i wrong. it hurts like crazy. i felt like i was being abused. crammed my mouth shut to keep myself from screaming out loud in pain or scolding vulgarities. at the end of the massage, when the person found out that it was my first time trying body massage, she still praised me for being v pain-tolerant. bleahh. haha~~
anw yesterday was national day. hc130 met up to celebrate it together at suan's house. damian kept saying we are super wuliao. which is quite true la. my project work group is really one of a kind. i mean, which pw grp still meets up, and no less, to celebrate national day tog somemore! but i tink its cool. haha~
we met in bugis first for lunch at where else, miss clarity! haha we tried the black squid ink pasta. also ordered chicken stew and fried dory fish, and we finished off with mudooze!
den we went off to cold storage to buy ingredients to make dinner at suan's house. ger and i were quite apprehensive cos the last time we tried to make dinner together, we failed rather miserably. haha we kept recalling our failed attempt last time. but looking back at it was pretty funny. we decided to make jap sushi this time round, so bought jap rice, cucumber, unagi, crab sticks, mayo, jap vinegar. also bought gyoza and roti prata.
our dinner was a success! in fact we were super efficient. yisheng was a master chef. made the rice, fried the omelette and the unagi. haha! the rest of us helped cut and chop and do other stuff. ger and i spent quite alot of time just contributing eye power. haha!
at 6 plus in the evening we took out all the nicely prepared ingredients and settled in front of the tv to watch the national day parade while we eat our sushi dinner. haha the way we were eating reminded me of those 'popiah' shops where u can 'bao' ur own popiah. we were doing the exacct same thing except tt we were 'baoing' sushi. anw, it was super yummy. i ate 4 big rolls of sushi. we polished everything up. super zai.

quite fun to watch ndp tog with hc130. we stood at attention when they played the national anthem and sang out loud. haha~~ and we could see the fireworks from suan's parents' bedroom! super nice. we just stood at the window and watched the fireworks. den we screamed 'happy birthday singapore' from the window. really siao. haha!!
after the parade ended we had desserts--ah ballin AKA glutinous rice balls AKA GRB AKA tang yuan.
i had to squeeze up the train packed with pple returning from marina bay.
reached home to find that my dad had cooked chilli crabs and left 1 for me. i couldnt resist and ended polishing that up too, even though i alr ate so much. grrr.

oooh its august already! which means my hols are going to end!! how how how.
anyway, i applied for the national library board's premium membership last week. did it in the spur of a moment. 21 bucks per yr would entitle me to borrow all the DVD-roms and audio stuff in the libraries. so i borrowed a couple of pc games and the DVD for 'An inconvenient truth', cos i always wanted to watch tt.
i have never been one to be hooked on pc games, but the game 'company of heroes' got me totally addicted. haha my bro says i m the only girl he knows who plays war games. hehe~~ i tink its pretty cool. apparently the game is pretty popular (though i had never heard of it before i picked it up), it won the best strategy game.
i was so addicted that was it not for my cravings for good food and shopping, i tink i could have just holed myself up in front of my laptop for one week. scary thought. now i understand why there are people who need to be treated for psychological illnesses after they spend too much time on the com.
anw, been going shopping with my mum. my cousin's wedding date is drawing near and she wanted to shop for a nice present for her. but i kept deviating her from her aim. haha in the end we end up shopping for ourselves. tampines metro is having a MAJOR sale. like 80% discount storewide. super exciting. i already bought 2 pairs of shoes. for like less then 20 bucks in total. hahaa!
met up with falungong over the weekend. we went to this ktv in katong shopping centre which was really cheap! we sang for more than 5 hours. i realised i m a 'chorus singer'. i know the chorus to most of the songs, but is almost always clueless when it comes to the other parts of the song. haha! except jay chou and jj's songss~=))
after singing we walked down katong road and found this nice hongkong cafe for dinner. they have such a huge variety of food that all of us took super long to decide on our orders. i love the 'yuanyang' there! aftr dinner we talked for almost 4 hours. haha~ the guys talked abt all their mischievous doings in sec sch. i realised the guys can be such big bullies. but its so hilarious hearing abt it again years later.
