went shopping at bugis with cuixi today. had to stop myself from spending unnecessarily. i banned myself from using my debit cards and i think this method works. shopping with cash makes me less prone to impulse buys. haha~
cuixi told me medical textbooks sold at the yunan bookstore in bras brasah complex are much cheaper than those sold in school, so we decided to stop by yunnan bookstore after shopping to buy textbooks for next yr. i ended up only buying my microbiology textbook. so happy tt its so thin.
now i officially have 2 textbooks for next year sitting proudly in my cupboard. =) i put them together with the rest of my M1 books and my silberberg and sloman (2 textbooks i bought in JC but never ever used). now one corner of my bookshelf looks like a bookshelf of a truly learned person. the other corners, however, are unfortunately still filled with comic books and other rubbish books i read as a teenager(eg RL Stine and Christopher Pike's horror stories).
the 'learned corner' of my bookshelf~ thankfully i threw out my nancy drew, babysitters club, and enid blyton books last yr. phew. they would have looked terribly weird standing side by side with my textbooks, i think.
